Colfax Avenue Improvements to Begin

This past week the contractor continued to water the sod along the project site. The contractor also began saw-cutting for the Colfax Avenue Improvements.

The contractor is anticipated to begin the concrete curb & gutter removals along Colfax Avenue on Monday, September 16th. Those residents with concrete curb & gutter repairs adjacent to their driveways will need to have their vehicles moved from garages and driveways prior to the curb & gutter being removed. The contractor will knock on each effected residents door prior to removing the curb & gutter to ensure all vehicles are moved.
During the Colfax Avenue Improvements, there will be no parking allowed on the roadway. The posted 8 AM to 10 PM No Parking Restrictions will remain in effect. It is  requested all cars parked along Colfax Avenue be moved prior to 7:00 AM each weekday and 9:00 AM on Saturdays.

The work along Colfax Avenue will include concrete curb & gutter repairs, construction of traffic calming islands at Nora Avenue and Nottingham Avenue, and asphalt resurfacing from Waukegan Road to Harlem Avenue.
The final asphalt pavement surface layer will not be installed along Nora Avenue and Neva Avenue until the Colfax Avenue improvements are completed.

We appreciate all of your patience while the Colfax Avenue improvements are being constructed.
