Roadway Reconstruction North of Colfax On-Going

This past week the contractor performed roadway reconstruction along Nora Avenue and Neva Avenue north of Colfax Avenue and through the Colfax Avenue intersections. Work completed included removing existing driveways and sidewalks, removing the existing concrete pavement, excavating the existing ground, performing base repairs as needed, and installing aggregate base course.
Next week the contractor will perform the concrete work along Nora and Neva north of Colfax Avenue. The work will include concrete curb & gutter, concrete driveways, and concrete sidewalk. The contractor will also likely begin fine grading the roadway in preparation for asphalt paving the week of August 19th.
Starting on Monday, August 12th, all cars will need to be removed from driveways as the contractor begins installing string line and preparing for the concrete work. It is anticipated you will be able to access your driveways within 7 to 10 days, depending on work progress and weather conditions.
We ask for your cooperation in following the directions detailed in previous mailings regarding access to your driveways and homes during the roadway reconstruction process.
